Adamello Excursions: the Path of Flowers
The Sentiero dei Fiori winds around 3000 meters above sea level, on the impervious ridges between Castellaccio and Pisgana, an ancient border line with the Austro-Hungarian Empire, retraces the daring walkways, tunnels and tricerations of the Italian first line during the Great War. Majestic panorama over the Adamello and Ortles-Cevedale peaks and glaciers. Valuable high altitude alpine flora.
Contrary to what the name might suggest, it is a difficult path with a via ferrata, very exposed, only for expert hikers equipped with lanyard and carabiner with harness, ice ax, crampons, helmet and absence of dizziness.
