It is a village of about 2500 inhabitants, it is a town in the autonomous province of Bolzano. The Valley extends for about 28 km up to the Odle group, which for its beauty has been named by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, with the Puez-Odle Natural Park.

And 'this a botanical trail, which has been specially designed as a simple route suitable for families, as the walk will take less than 1 hour. At the end of the route, at the waterfall you can admire a view of the Corno del Renon.

For a more demanding excursion, which is ideal for sportsmen or people already trained, you can venture up to Genoa refuge.
Starting from Valle de Funés, which is located at an altitude of about 1800 meters, where you will find a parking lot where you can leave your car. The first part of the route runs along the stream, along paths through woods and flowery meadows. The road then becomes uphill until you reach the Genova refuge, which is a hut open during the summer, at an altitude of about 2300 meters. This path lasts about 2 and a half hours.
You can decide to continue your walk, with an uphill path that will take you up to Pütia Fork, 50 meters higher than the refuge. From the Genova refuge to the Forcella it takes about 45 minutes on foot.

Finally, a route for true sportsmen and mountain walkers has as its destination the Wasserkofel, which also includes a short stretch of climbing. The Wasserkofel is a mountain located at 2924 meters above sea level, which can be reached starting from Malga Zannes, covering a total of 16.5 km, for approximately 8 hours of walking.
The climbing section is short and simple, even for beginners with this sport.
In any case, the effort will be rewarded by a magnificent view of the mountains.

There is no shortage of routes for horse riding enthusiasts, among flowery meadows in summer and to enjoy the snow-capped mountains in winter in an atmosphere of great relaxation.
In Funes there is a riding stable which also organizes group walks for beginners.

La Valle has also thought for bike enthusiasts: one has been built from the city of Bressanone to the Val di Funes new cycle path, or rather a real path suitable for mountain bike enthusiasts.
With your mountain bike, or one that you can rent directly on the spot, you can get to the Odle peaks, which have been named a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Tiso, a small town less than 1.000 m. above sea level, it is famous for the agglomerates of quartz within which there are amethysts and agates. This creates a tourism passionate about mineralogy thanks also to the Mineralogical Museum, which presents a quantity of carefully selected and preserved fossils. Accompanied by videos, the path inside the Museum winds through crystals and precious stones. Famous are the geodes, cavities inside a rock formed by usually spherical crystals, which can reach up to 20 cm in diameter.

The capital of the Val di Funes is the small village called San Pietro, whose inhabited center develops around the church of San Pietro e Paolo with the bell tower that stands out over the valley and the bulb-shaped dome. It is one of the oldest churches in the valley and given its size it is called "the cathedral of the valley". The visit inside allows you to admire the paintings of the famous Tyrolean Baroque decorator: Joseph Schopf.

They are present around the inhabited center paths for easy excursions, a path following the signpost 31 leads to a beautiful waterfall, the mountain road which connects to Val Badia through the Passo delle Erbe is more challenging.
