The Tillfussalm bike tour instead allows you to cycle towards the mountain hut of the same name, where the writer Ludwig Ganghofer loved to stop.

What to do and what to see

The mountains in summer invite you to take part in hiking excursions in uncontaminated nature and in Seefeld in Tirol the opportunities are many, given the presence of many naturalistic jewels waiting to be discovered, from the lake Rosshutte al Brunschkopf, where there is a wooden viewing platform at 1510 m. high with a view of the Hohe Munde and the Wetterstein peaks.

The walk is very easy and suitable for the whole family Kreuzweg-Wildsee, which turns out to be a real Via Crucis that starts from the Parish Church of Seefeld in Tirol: the destination is the Pfarrhügel hill and during the journey you come across numerous erratic boulders representing the Apostles, depicting some moments of the Passion of Christ, i.e. the Last Supper and the Burial of Jesus. The excursion also allows you to take a tour of the Wildsee lake and visit the Reither Moor peat bog, declared a nature reserve in 1975.

From the tennis court in Seefeld in Tirol wall the 3 Lakes excursion, via path no. 2 which first leads to Lake Mösern, passing through the Gasthof Mentlhof and the Pirschsteig via ferrata. We then continue towards Wildmoos, a plateau at 1320 m. high where the Wildmoos See and Lottensee lakes are surrounded by larch and birch forests: these are two lake mirrors that form in spring when a perfect combination is created between the thaw and the rains that feed the underground karst systems.

The excursion that leads to it is very pleasant Wildmoosalm hut, one of the most picturesque mountain huts in all of Tyrol: the route starts from the parking lot of the Olympiahalle sports hall and passes through the Kirchwald church forest and across large marshy meadows. Near the mountain hut it is also possible to see a small lake, which however forms occasionally: according to the local farmers, its formation depends on the more or less snowy winters.

The rocky walls that enclose it are high and impervious and are flanked by a suspended platform that allows hikers to admire the gorge from an incredible perspective. The path also leads to cross two suspension bridges, including the Hollbrucke, with the noise of torrential waters and waterfalls interrupting the silence of this splendid naturalistic jewel. If you wish, you can end this excursion near the panoramic Gletscherschliff refuge, for a well-deserved regenerating break.
