Calaita lake

Calaita lake

In the splendid Valle del Vanoi, in Trentino-Alto Adige, we find Lake Calaita, a choreographic balcony on the Pale di San Martino.

The lake is located not far from Fiera di Primiero, about fifteen kilometers, and can also be reached by car, via the road that leads to the Gobbera pass.

Furthermore, adjacent to the lake, you can find a large car park and a bar-restaurant, where you can rest and refresh yourself after a nice excursion. In fact, there are so many paths that climb into the surrounding area and from which it is possible to admire a unique flora and fauna, typical of the Trentino mountains.

From a geological point of view, the lake is of natural origin, surrounded by woods and expanses of green meadows and is located at about 1600 meters above sea level. Every year the lake attracts tourists, families and hikers, but also fishermen and ski enthusiasts, in the colder periods.

Already arrived by car you can see the rare beauty of the places, with the body of water reflecting the mountain peaks, especially the Cimon di Pala. Watching a sunset from this location will be the icing on the cake after a nature walk.
