Visit the Arpy lake

Reach the Arpy lake it's not difficult, you have to take the road that leads from la Thuile and Morgex to Colle San Carlo.
Then you can park your car using the parking area available next to the Genzianella restaurant and from which path no. 15. From here it is possible to reach the lake, more or less in 45 minutes, thanks to an easy and safe route.

The path is completely surrounded by greenery and crosses the fir and larch forest that allows you to enjoy cool shadows and pleasant breezes, even on the hottest days.

During the journey you will often come across wooden benches to sit down to rest and regain energy if necessary and thanks to a fountain you can cool off and quench your thirst a little.

During the walk there are wonderful views of the town of Arpy, Mont Blanc and Valdigne.

For lovers of trekking and  mountain bike it is a true paradise as most of the paths are winding and adventurous but without exaggerated gradients and have a moderate slope: they are practicable by everyone, even the most inexperienced.

Regardless of the road traveled, arrived at Arpy lake no one will be disappointed by the spectacle that will unfold before their eyes: clear waters with spectacular colors that, like a mirror, reflect the surrounding mountains.

Along its banks you can have pleasant packed lunches and organize picnics using the well-equipped areas available to fully enjoy the beauty and serenity of the surrounding landscape.

Afterwards it is possible to lie down on the grass to relax a little or play ball, always respecting others and avoiding throwing the ball into the lake.

Especially in the month of June the landscape is particularly suggestive as the mountains surrounding the lake are often covered with snow, giving an enchanting picture to be enjoyed immersed in a surreal silence and tranquility.

By continuing to follow the marked paths you can reach other places not to be missed such as Tête d'Arpy which offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the Mont Blanc range and the Valdigne and waterfalls surrounded by green meadows dotted with colorful flowers.
