From 26 June 2009 the Alta Pusteria and its excellences, the natural parks of Fanes-Senes-Braies and the Sesto Dolomites, Three peaks of Lavaredo (2.999 m), la Croda del Becco (2.810 m), la Cima dei Baranci (2.966 m), they are entered by law among the UNESCO Natural Heritage, in reference to their uniqueness from a geological, botanical and landscape point of view.
In the splendid UNESCO Natural Heritage of the Dolomites, Alta Pusteria offers a varied excursion program for the summer season that allows you to choose from a large number of itineraries for all tastes and according to different levels of preparation and difficulty.
In all, the prestigious UNESCO recognition concerns the nine Dolomite groups divided between the provinces of Trento, Bolzano, Belluno, Pordenone and Udine, for a total of 231 thousand hectares.
The land of the Three Peaks
The Dolomites of South Tyrol boast postcard landscapes in every season. Among these are the famous "Three peaks of Lavaredo”Which are the symbol of Alta Pusteria, this natural monument are the destinations of magnificent excursions at high altitude that start from different points of the valley. From the high Dolomites, you can enjoy a magnificent view of Alta Pusteria and the Tre Cime Nature Park and the Fanes Sennes Braies Nature Park: flora and fauna enchant for their beauty and for the unspoiled nature that they still know how to offer. This small but beautiful alpine lake has become famous to the general public thanks to a Rai fiction set right on these mountains.
Alta Pusteria also offers space for climbing and via ferratas with tours of varying difficulty, a dense network of cycle paths for bikes and mountain bike, paths dedicated to nordic walking and trails for horseback riding.
